At the 2014 New York Auto Show, Chevrolet has officially unveiled the
2015 Chevrolet Trax. The 2015 Trax will offer versatility, connectivity
and turbocharged performance in an efficient package. Sporty and modern,
Trax blends small-car agility with the utility of an SUV has a
"dual-port" grille, sweptback headlights and muscular rear fenders. The
model also has plastic body cladding and 16- or 18-inch wheels.
The interior is a little plain but features a motorcycle-inspired
instrument cluster, metallic accents and a MyLink infotainment system
with a seven-inch display. The boot holds 18.7 cubic feet (530 liters)
of luggage but that can be increased to 48.4 cubic feet (1,371 liters)
when the rear seats are folded down.
Details specifications were not announced but Chevrolet
confirmed the model can be equipped with leatherette upholstery, Siri
Eyes Free technology and OnStar 4G LTE with a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot.
Under the hood, there's a turbocharged 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 138 bhp (103 kW) and 148 lb-ft (200 Nm) of torque. It is connected to a six-speed automatic transmission which can be paired to an optional all-wheel drive system.

Chevrolet Trax was launched in late 2012 in Mexico and Canada as a 2013
model; about 90,000 have been sold in more than 60 global markets. In
addition to the United States, the 2015 Trax will also go on sale in
China and pricing will be announced closer to launch, adding the small
SUV to Chevy’s two largest markets. Trax is named after a 2007 concept
vehicle.
